For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Margitta Schumann Zentralbild Thieme 30.3.1971-Bezirk Suhl: Die Rennschlitten-Europameisterin der Junioren, Margitta Schumann (ASK Vorwärts Oberhof-Foto von einem früheren Wettkampf), bat um Aufnahme als Kandidat in die Partei der Arbeiterklasse. Auf der FDJ-Bezirksdelegiertenkonferenz Suhl teilte sie am 28.3.1971 ihren Entschluß mit. Sie versicherte in Vorbereitung des VIII. Parteitages der SED in der Schule, im gesellschaftlichen Leben und im Sport nach besten Ergebnissen zu streben.
