For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Rostock, Südstadt-Krankenhaus Zentralbild Sindermann 2.3.71 Rostock: Bezirksstadt zählt 200 000. Bürger- Erstmalig in ihrer 750jährigen Geschichte zählt die Stadt seit 1.3.71 200.000 Einwohner. Ein Baby des Rostocker Hafenarbeiterehepaares Emmi und Gerhard Rohde verhalf der Stadt zu diesem Jubiläum. In dem neuen Südstadtkrankenhaus ist es das 9 120. Kind, das in den vergangenen fünf Jahren dort unter Fürsorge der Ärzte und Schwestern das Licht der Welt erblickte. Stationsschwester Lotte Laasch am Bett der glücklichen Mutter.
