For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Gevezin, Reinigung von Drainage Zentralbild Lehmann 4.12.1967 Neustrelitz: Größtes Meliorationsvorhaben der DDR Alte Drainagen reinigen Hans Rehse und Klaus Rogge (rechts) von der Meliorationsgenossenschaft in Penzlin auf den Feldern der LPG Gevezin. Das Reinigen verschlammter Drainagen gehört zur Komplexmelioration in den Kreisen Röbel und Waren. Bei diesem größten Meliorationsvorhaben der DDR werden in den nächsten Jahren 17000 ha entwässert und 5000 ha bewässert. Nach dem Abschluß der gesamten Arbeiten können in den beiden Kreisen des Bezirks Neustrelitz jährlich 580000 Dezitonnen Getreideeinheiten mehr erzeugt werden, das sind umgerechnet 116000 Dezitonnen Schweinefleisch.
