For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme. Halle, Neustadt, Bahnhof, Zug
ADN-Zentralbild Sturm 9.6.67 Halle-Neustadt Vom Werden einer neuen Stadt Im Mai 1967 wurde mit Errichtung eines provisorischen Bahnhofes eine Eisenhahn-Schnellverbindung von Halle-Neustadt zu den Großbetrieben Buna und Leuna in Betrieb genommen, die die Wartezeiten auf 10 bzw. 20 Minuten verkürzt. Die jetzt in Halle-Neustadt wohnenden Chemiearbeiter waren vorher in den umliegenden Dörfern zu Hause und benötigten durchschnittlich 60 bis 100 Minuten für den Weg zur Arbeitsstelle. Der innerstädtische Verkehr in Halle-Neustadt wird durch Omnibuslinien, die zur Bezirkshauptstadt Halle führen, bewältigt. Die einzelnen Wohnkomplexe, die insgesamt etwa 6 Quadratkilometer Grundfläche ausmachen, sind so projektiert, dass in diesen Bereichen keine Verkehrsmittel erforderlich sind. |
