For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Zentralbild-Koard Ho-Qu 14.4.1967 Berlin: Springbrunnen auf dem Strausberger Platz eingeweiht. Seit dem 14.4.1967 können die Berliner und Gäste der Hauptstadt das Spiel des Wassers an dem von Nationalpreisträger Prof. Fritz Kühn gestalteten Springbrunnen auf dem Strausberger Platz bewundern. Das runde Becken (32 m im Durchmesser) ist quadratisch mit Betonplatten umlegt. 5000 blühende Erika-Hybriden zieren sechs der acht großen Blumenrabatten. In den Abendstunden strahlen 36 Unterwasserscheinwerfer die kupfernen Ornamente und die bis zu 18 m hohen Fontänen des Brunnens an.
