For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Zentralbild-Kluge tre. 31.10.1964 Anneliese Schmidt hat allen Grund zur Freude ..., denn sie hat sich als Industrienäherin bereits gut eingearbeitet. Seit Anfang Oktober 1964 arbeitet sie täglich vier Stunden im Leipziger Bekleidungswerk "Vestis". Sie war gemeinsam mit 15 anderen Hausfrauen im Juli dem Aufruf der DFD-Gruppe Leipzig-Nord gefolgt, um sich zur Industrienäherin zu qualifizieren. Der Betrieb, er führte den Lehrgang kostenlos durch, gibt den Hausfrauen jetzt Gelegenheit, an der Betriebsakademie den Facharbeiterbrief zu erwerben."
