For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Magdeburg, Kloster Unser Lieben Frauen, Bibliothek Zentralbild Biscan 14.10.1964 Das ehemalie Kloster "Unser lieben Frauen" in Magdeburg, ein Kleinod der romantischen Baukunst, wird in ein Museum umgestaltet. Der durch Bomben zerstörte Bau wurde nach neuzeitlichen Grundsätzen der Denkmalspflege von allen stilfremden Zutaten befreit, so daß er in alter Schönheit wiedererstand. Auch die ehemalige Klosterbibilothek, von der über 25.000 Bände die Zerstörung des Klosters überstanden haben, wird z.Zt. katalogisiert und restauriert. 500.000 Mark stellte unser Staat bisher für die Umgestaltung des ehemaligen Klosters in ein Museum zur Verfügung. Hier Brigitte Draeschke bei der Arbeit in der Bibliothek, die bald allen Wissenschaftlern und Interessenten zugänglich sein wird.
