For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme. Zentralbild-Schaar Kre-Qu 4.8.1964 Zum 15. Jahrestag der DDR - Um 21 DM billiger produzieren die Alu-Werker der Elektrolyse II des EK Bitterfeld die Tonne Aluminium in den ersten Monaten dieses Jahres gegenüber den vergleichbaren Kosten des vergangenen Jahres. Durch eine verbesserte Arbeitsweise an den Bädern wurde auch die Qualität des des Aluminiums gehoben. So konnten 92 Prozent des Hüttenaluminiums in einer Reinheit von 99,5 Prozent und mehr ausgeliefert werden. Unser Bild zeigt Abdrücker Lothar Pohle beim Einschlagen der Tonerde in den Elektrolysebädern. Diese Arbeit mußte früher mit der Hand ausgeführt werden. Die Mechanisierung führte zu einer bedeutenden Arbeitserleichterung und ermöglichte auch eine Erhöhung der Arbeitsproduktivität. |
