For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Berlin, tschechische Gastarbeiter Zentralbild Eckleben We-Nos 15.10.1960 Internationale Brigarden bauen Scheibengasbehälter in Berlin Zwei Brigarden mit Monteuren aus der CSSR und der DDR arbeiten gemeinsam an einem Scheibenbehälter, der in Berlin-Lichtenberg aufgesellt wird. Diese Anlage, mit einer Höhe von 85 m und einem Durchmesser von 53 m hat ein Fassungsvermögen von 150000 cbm Gas und wird dazu beittragen, die Gasversorgung in den Stadtbezirk en Köpenick, Grünau und Rahnsdorf zu etablieren und die Druckverhältnisse zu verbessern. Laut Plan soll der Behälter am 1.10.1961 fertig werden, jedoch haben sich die am Bau beteiligten Kollegen vorgenommen, diesen Termin zu unterbieten. Bereits jetzt haben sich einen Planvorsprung von ca. 4 Wochen erreicht. UBz: Schlosser Hans Hern weist den Kranführer ein.
