For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.  Missernte, Abtransport der Ernte
Zentralbild RS-Fr. 27.8.1960 Ernterückstand in Nordhessen - noch 80 Prozent des Getreides auf den Feldern. Erst 20 Prozent der mit Getreide bestellten Flächen waren am 24.8.1960 in Nordhessen abgeerntet. Etwa ein Drittel der Halmfrüchte ist noch nicht einmal gemäht. Vielfach sind große Schläge vom Wind und Regen förmlich niedergewalzt, und der Roggen ist bereits stark vom Unkraut durchwuchert. Agrarexperten schätzen auf Grund dieser kritischen Situation, daß etwa 50 Prozent der gesamten Ernte nur noch für Futterzwecke verwendet werden können. Der Erntetermin ist für die Gebiete Nordhessens im Vergleich zu den normalen Jahren um durchschnittlich vier Wochen überschritten. UBz: Bauer Wagner aus Obermeischer im Kreise Hofgeismar auf dem Wege zur Getreideabnahmestelle. Er weiß nicht, ob ihm sein Getreide überhaupt abgenommen wird, weil sein Roggen einen Auswuchsanteil bis zu 30 Prozent hat. Die Einkaufs- und Vorratsstellen für Getreide übernehmen Roggen nur mit einem Auswuchsanteil bis zu sechs Prozent. |
