Im Leipziger Bruno-Plache-Stadion konnte sich am 13.12.59 der SC Dynamo Berlin im zweiten Spiel um den FDGB-Pokal gegen den SC Wismut Karl-Marx-Stadt, Deutscher Fußballmeister 1959 mit 3:2 Toren durchsetzen.
