For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Zentralbild-Martin ,25.7.1959 Traktoristin und Aktivistin Maria Plewka. Seit 6 Jahren ist die 25jährige Maria Plewka auf dem VEG Pinnow, Kreis Oranienburg, Traktoristin. Bis 1953 hat sie als Landarbeiterin gearbeitet und dort die Fahrerlaubnis abgelegt. Sie ist den Arbeitskollegen ein gutes Vorbild. Mit ihrem RS 30 pflügt sie, pflegt ihn selbständig und leistet alle vorkommenden Arbeiten. Im Herbst zog sie auf der Raupe die Winterfurche. UBz. Maria Plewka beim Abschmieren ihres Traktors.
