For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Zentralbild-Schlegel Frö-Qu 6.6.1959 Örtliche Chemieindustrie von Karl-Marx-Stadt mit großen Perspektiven Von jährlich 20 Millionen DM auf fast 120 Millionen DM werden die örtlich geleiteten Chemiebetriebe in Karl-Marx-Stadt ihre Produktion bis 1965 steigern. Den größten Produktionszuwachs von allen Betrieben der örtlichen Industrie wird der VEB Thermoplast Karl-Marx-Stadt verzeichnen. Sein Produktionsvolumen von z.Z. 5,5 Millionen DM wird sich im Siebenjahrplan auf 95 Millionen DM erhöhen. Neben Formschalen für die Schuhindustrie und ähnlichen Artikeln wird das Werk künftig tiefziehfähige Kunststoffplatten aus schlagfestem Polysterol für Kühlschrankeinsätze herstellen. UBz. (V. links nach rechts): Meister Schönherr, technischer Leiter Forchheim und Parteisekretär Alberts an einer Schneckenpresse, wo Kunststoffprofile für die Landmaschinentechnik hergestellt werden.
