For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Sonneberg, Seilbahn zum Holzräumen Zentralbild Gahlbeck 2.12.1958 Anwendung der modernen Technik bei der Räumung von Bruchflächen. Durch Anwendung moderner technischer Hilfsmittel im Windbruchgebiet von Sonneberg sollen die Bruchflächen noch vor Einbruch des Winters geräumt werden. Seit kurzer Zeit wird an den steilen Hängen eine Seilbahn eingesetzt, um die aufbereiteten Bruchhölzer zu Tal zu fördern. Im günstingen Fällen können damit pro Tag 50 Festmeter Holz befördert werden. UBz: Mit Pferden wird im Tal das Holz zum Lagerplatz gebracht.
