For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Merxleben, Bäuerinnen bei der Fellpflege Zentralbild Wittig 21.4.1958 Verpflichtung zum V. Parteitag der SKD Eine Stahlbrigade der LPG "Walter Ulbricht" in Merxleben-Kreis Bad Langensalza hat sich verpflichtet, bis zum V. Parteitag der SED ihr Milchsoll monatlich um zehn Prozent Überzuerfüllen. Bereits im I. Quartal 1958 haben diese LPG Mitglieder 91000 kg Milch über den Plan hinaus geliefert. Die Stahlbrigade will ihre Verpflichtung durch gute Pflege und Pünkliche Fütterung der Tiere erfüllen. UBz: Blick in den Kuhstahl, der von der Stahlbrigade betreut wird. Im Vordergrund: Der Brigadier IIIa Görmar.
