For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Zentralbild / Höhne-Pohl / 24.10.1957 [Herausgabedatum] / "Freiheit und nationale Unabhängigkeit für Syrien" - Syrische und Dresdner Jugendliche demonstrieren.

Gemeinsam mit Studenten aus Syrien, dem Libanon, aus Ägypten und dem Iran demonstrierten am 23.10.1957 Hunderte Dresdener Jugendliche gegen die Vorbereitung einer von den USA inszenierten türkischen Aggression in Syrien. Leidenschaftlich erhoben Jugendliche aus Syrien, die an der Technischen Hochschule in Dresden studieren, auf kurzen Kundgebungen an Verkehrsknotenpunkten der Elbestadt ihre Stimme gegen die Aggressionsabsichten der Imperialisten.
