For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Gartensessel aus Sperrholz Zentralbild Blumenthal 28.11.1957 Neue Werte aus Materialabfällen. Die Polstermöbelfabrik Carl Bollmann in Gotha fertigt u.a. formschöne Sessel aus Furnierholz-Resten, die sie aus verschiedenen Werken der DDR geliefert bekommt. Pro Jahr werden somit ungefähr 100 qbm Buchenholz eingespart. Der Betrieb, der seit 1.10.1956 mit staatlicher Beteiligung arbeitet, konnte seinen Jahresplan bis Mitte November erfüllen und für 250.000 DM über den Plan hinaus zusätzlich produzieren. UBz: Mit Plastikfolienpolsterung ist dieser formschöne Dielensessel versehen, der ebenfalls aus Furnierholzabfällen entstand und ca. DM 60,-- im Handel kostet.
