For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Kleinwanzleben, Maschine der MTS Zentralbild Biscan 9.4.1957 Ziel: 320 Doppelzentner Zuckerrüben je Hektar Die Belegschaft der MTS Kleinwanzleben, Kreis Wanzleben, hat isch das Ziel gesetzt, den Zuckerrübenertrag in diesem Jahr wesentlich zu steigern. Durch planmässigen und zeitgerechten Einsatz ihrer Maschinen auf den Feldern der Produktionsgenossenschaften und Einzelbauern wollen sie erreichen, dass im Durchschnitt mindestens 320 Doppelzentner je Hektar geerntet werden. Zugute kommt ihnen dabei, dass sie wieder eine Reihe neuer Maschinen erhalten haben.UBz. Oberagronom Heinrich Risy (rechts), Brigademechaniker Werner Rymarozik (lnks) und Brigadier Othmar Wolf (Mitte) kontrollieren ein neues Vielfachgerät "P 320", das die Station gerade bekommen hat. Damit verfügt die MTS jetzt über ein Dutzend solcher Maschinen und kann zum Rübenhacken jede Brigade damit ausstatten.
