For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Vorbereitung der Aussaat Zentralbild TBD-Schmidt 4 Motive 31.3.1955 Beginn der Frühjahrsbestellung bei der MTS Ichtershausen Bezirk Erfurt Am 28.3.1955 begannen die Traktoristen der MTS Ichtershausen die Frühjahrsbestellung 1955. In diesem Jahr wollen sie die Erträge in ihrem Arbeitsbereich um 20% steigern und gleichzeitig die Kosten pro Hektar mittleres Pflügen um DM 12,50 senken. UBz: Eine Kombination von Kultivator-Düngerstreuer und Egge auf dem vier Hektar grossen Feld des örtlichen Landwirtschaftsbetriebes Sülzenbrücken mit dem Fahrer Lothar Saalfelder (rechts), der mit seinem Schichtfahrer Thilo Lenz die Leistung pro Maschine von 450 ha mittleres Pflügen auf 700 ha erhöhen will.
