For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
LPG Marzahn, Rübenernte Zentralbild Bauernbild 28.10.1953 In Stadt und Land Freude über die Preissenkung Überall in der Deutschen Demokratischen Republik bringen die Werktätigen ihre Freude über die bisher grösste und umfassendste Preissenkung zum Ausdruck. Als Antwort auf die großzügige Preissenkung verpflichten sich die Werktätigen in Stadt und Land zu noch höheren Produktionsleistungen. UBz: Die Genossenschaftsbäuerin von der LPG "Neue Ordnung" in Marzahn bei Berlin sagte:"Durch die Preissenkung können wir viel Geld sparen. Wir brauchen jetzt einmal Winterkleidung, die auch um vieles billiger geworden ist. Mein Mann und ich wollen ein Siedlungshaus hier aufbauen, und da können wir jeden Pfennig gut gebrauchen."
