For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Gollma, Dreschen der Rübsenernte Zentralbild Gerbeth 3.7.1953 Ernte in der Deutschen Demokratischen Republik Im Saalkreis des Bezirks Halle ist die Ernte im vollen Gange. Eine große Hilfe und Erleichterung bringen die sowjetischen Erntemaschinen, die auch auf den Feldern des Saalkreises eingesetzt sind. UBz: Die Kollegen der MTS Landsberg und der Produktionsgenossenschaft Gollma beim Dreschen von Winterrübsen. Der Oberagronom der MTS Emil Rath sagte: "Es ist ein wundervolles Arbeiten mit dem "Stalinez". Nachdem wir heute früh beim Morgengrauen mit dem Dreschen begannen, haben wir bis heute nacht 24 Uhr den gesamten Winterrübsen aller Genossenschaften im MTS-Bereich fix und fertig gedroschen!"
