For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme. Zentralbild Gorbeth 1.7.1953 Zi-Wi. Mein Vertrauen zur Regierung und zur SED ist noch stärker geworden. Der Grubensteiger Frank sagte folgendes: "Die Ereignisse des 17. Juni 1953 haben mir gezeigt, daß der Faschismus nichts unversucht lässt, unser bisher Erreichtes wieder zu zerstören. Mein Vertrauen zur Arbeiterklasse, zur Regierung und zur Sozialistischen Einheitspartei Deutschlands ist durch diese Vorkommnisse noch fester und stärker geworden. Deshalb bitte ich, in die Reihen der SED aufgenommen zu werden. UBz: Kollegen Frank (links) spricht mit einen seiner Kollegen nach einer Hochleistungs-Sonderschicht, die sie zu Ehren des 60. Geburtstages von Walter Ulbricht gefahren haben. (Achtung Bildmontage)" |
