For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
MTS Niemberg, Mähen von Wintergerste Zentralbild Krüger 1.7.1953 Ernte 1953 in der Deutschen Demokratischen Republik. Die Traktoristen der MTS Niemberg, Saalkreis haben die Rapsernte auf den Feldern der Landwirtschaftlichen Produktionsgenossenschaft "Morgenrot" erfolgreich beendet. Jetzt helfen sie den werktätigen Einzelbauern bei der Einbringung der Wintergerste. UBz: Traktorist Martin Rader von der MTS Niemberg und der Genossenschaftsbauer Otto Durch (rechts) mähen die Wintergerste auf dem Felde des Einzelbauern Spors."
