For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme. Der Führer leitete die neue deutsche Arbeitsschlacht ein. Die Baustelle der Reichsautobahn in Unterhachingen bei München war am 21. März der Schauplatz der historischen Stunde, in der Adolf Hitler, umgeben von seinen Mitkämpfern die zweite Arbeitsschlacht, die Deutschland im Dritten Reich schlagen will, einleitete. In einer grossen tiefangelegten und von höchstem Idealismus sowie von praktischem Verständnis zeugende Rede zeigte der Führer die Ziele des neuen Kampfes und rief das deutsche Volk zu unentwegtem neuen Streiten gegen die Arbeitslosigkeit auf. Die Rede wurde während einer einstündigen allgemeinen Arbeitsruhe in Deutschland in sämtliche Betriebe und auf die öffentlichen Plätze der deutschen Städte und Ortschaften übertragen. |
