For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
ADN- Klaus Franke 11.12.90 Berlin: Versteigerung- Wegen Tumulten mußte die erstmalige Versteigerung Ost-Berliner Mietshäuser am Dienstagsabend auf einen unbestimmten Termin verschoben werden. Im überfüllten Saal des ehemaligen Kulturbund-Klubs in der Otto-Nuschke-Straße in Mitte hatten sich offenbar mehr Schaulustige als potentielle Käufer lautstark zu Wort gemeldet. Sie forderten den Abbruch der Veranstaltung, "weil die Mieter der im Angebot befindlichen Ost-Häuser sich überrumpelt fühlten". Für die verunsicherten Mieter des betroffenen Hauses Kollwitzstraße 52 nahm die Sprecherin Dr. Susanne Rothmaler (r) an der spektakulären Veranstaltung teil, die schließlich durch die anwesende Polizei beendet werden mußte.
