For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Serrahn, Begutachtung von Baumschäden ADN-ZB Bartocha 8.12.1989 Bez. Neubrandenburg: Das 1700 ha große Naturschutzgebiet Serrahn im Kreis Neustreltz ist mit seinen alten Wäldern, seinen sauberen Gewässern und den Mooren in den vergangenen Jahren für die Wildforschung und die Staatsjagd genutzt worden. Durch die schwere Technik wurden viele 180 bis 200 Jahre alten Bäume beschädigt, auch dieser, auf den der Leiter der Biologischen Station Serrahn, Dr. Hans-Joachim Spieß zeigt. Die Bäume müssen nun gefällt werden. Die Mitarbeiter der Station setzen sich dafür ein, daß die Staatsjagd zum Schutz der Natur aus diesem Gebiet entfernt wird. Siehe 4N
