Die Volkskammer wählte auf Antrag der NDPD Prof. Dr. Manfred Mühlmann (Mitte) zum Stellvertreter des Vorsitzenden des Staatsrates der DDR. Auf Antrag der LDPD wurde der Jurist Gerhard Lindner (l.) zum Mitglied des Staatsrates gewählt. (r.: Volkskammerpräsident Dr. Günther Maleuda).
