For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Berlin, Ankunft von Auszubildenen aus Namibia ADN-Uhlemann-29.7.89 Berlin: Solidarität-Eine Gruppe von 50 Jugendlichen aus Namibia traf am 28.7. in der DDR ein. Die 15 bis 17jährigen befanden sich an Bord der INTERFLUG-Maschine, die zuvor namibische Bürger von Berlin-Schönefeld aus nach WIndhoek gebracht hatte. Solidaritätsspenden von DDR-Bürgern ermöglichen den Jugendlichen eine Berufsausbildung, die in einem unabhängigen Namibia gefragt ist.
