For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme. ADN-ZB-Reiche-13.4.89.-Berlin: Wahlbilanz Marzahn- So gut wie abgeschlossen ist der Wohungsbau in Marzahn. Zwölf Jahre nach dem Einzug der ersten Mieter in die Neubauten des entstehenden Stadtbezirks Berlin-Marzahn ist auf einer Fläche von 32 Quadradkilometern - Neubaugebiet, Biesdorf und Friedrichsfelde-Ost- eine "Großstadt in der Großstadt" entstanden. Das Baugeschehen konzentriert sich nun vor allem auf Geschäfte, Dienstleistungseinrichtungen und Klubs. 4,2 Millionen Quadratmeter des Marzahner Territoriums sind Grün- und Freiflächen. Bis Jahresende sollen noch 265.000 Quadratmeter, beispielsweise am Helene-Weigel-Platz und an der Marzahner Promenads, hinzukommen. |
