For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Rostock, Studentenfamilie ADN-ZB Sindermann 23.2.1989 Rostock: Studentenfamilie-So oft es geht, verbringen Kathrin und Jens Albrecht ihre Freizeit mit dem acht Monate alten Söhnchen Oliver. Sie holen das Kind von der Krippe ab oder unternehmen einen Stadtbummel. Die jungen Eltern sind Studenten im vierten Studienjahr - Jens an er Sektion sozialistische Betriebswirtschaft, seine Frau wird Sonderschulpädagogin. (siehe 11 N) Studenten, die ein Baby haben, erhalten verschiedene Vergüngstigungen. Sie bekommen ein erhöhtes Grundstundium für Familien, einen Zuschuß der Universität für das Kind und das normale staatliche Kindergeld. Bei der Vergabe von Wohnheim- und Krippenplätzen werden sie bevorzugt. Die Miete im Heim beträgt für ein Ehepaar 20 Mark.
