Berlin, Marx-Engels-Forum, Dom, Palast der Republik ADN-ZB Link 27.5.87-cc-Berlin: Reizvoll ist der Blick vom Turm des Roten Rathauses auf das Marx-Engel-Forum im Zentrum Berlins zwischen Spandauer Straße und der Uferpromenade am Palast der Republik. Inmitten einer Kreisfläche von 64 Meter Durchmesser befindet sich das Denkmalensemble. In seinem Zentrum steht die Brozeplastik von Karl Marx und Friedrich Engels in doppelter Lebensgröße. Schöpfer ist der Bildhauer Ludwig Engelhardt. Quer durch den Park ziehen sich rund 10.000 Quadratmeter Haupt- und Nebenwege, die von 56 Laternen zu nächtlicher Zeit erleuchtet werden.
