For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Görlitz, Untermarkt, Bürgerhäuser, Kirche ADN-ZB Häßler 5.6.1986 Bez. Dresden: Wahlen-Bilanz - Blick vom Görlitzer Rathaus auf den Untermarkt mit seinen Bürgerhäusern der Spätgotik, der Renaissance und des Barocks. Zur guten Bilanz der vergangenen fünf Jahre gehört die völlige Rekonstruktion dieser baugeschichtlich wertvollen Häuser. Von 1981 bis 1985 entstanden in Görlitz 5021 Wohnungen durch Neubau oder Lückenbau. Bis zum Jahresende sollen 455 hinzukommen. - siehe dazu auch die Fotos 1986-0605-010 und 1986-0605-012 -
