For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Dresden, Jugendweihe, Teilnehmer ADN-ZB Häßler 12.4.86 Dresden: Jugend. Kristin, Anett und Claudia (v.r.n.l.) von der 59. Polytechnischen Oberschule Max Zimmering gehören zu den über 22.000 Mädchen und Jungen, die 1986 im Bezirk die Jugendweihe erhalten. Bis MItte Mai werden in allen Kreisen des Elbebezirkes 588 Jugendweihefeiern stattgefunden haben. Am 13.4. werden in der DDR weitere 550 Jugendweihefeiern für über 18.000 Schüler stattfinden.
