For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Leipzig, Auszubildende aus Kuba ADN-ZB Grubitzsch 6.2.86 Leipzig: Früh übt sich wer ein Meister werden will-Noch nicht so recht glücken will dem Lehrling Idalmis Pagan Caraeses der Partiewechsel an einer Zwirnmaschine im VEB Buntgarnwerke Leipzig. Doch Lehrfacharbeiterin Anne Wank (r.), Vertrauensmann der Spulerei, steht erklärend und helfend zur Seite. In vier Jahren, nach Abschluß ihrer Lehre als Textilfacharbeiter, wird die junge Kubanerin in ihre Heimat zurückkehren. Die Werktätigen des Leipziger Betriebes sind seit über zehn Jahren zuverlässige, plantreue partner der Webereien, Wirkereien und Stickereien in der DDR. BIs zum XI.
