August 1985 - Im Leipziger Zentralstadion strebt die 27jährige Olympiasiegerin von Moskau (Staffel) und zweifache Weltmeisterin von 1983, Marlies Göhr (SC Motor Jena- Foto vom Goldenen Oval 1985 in Dresden- Bildmitte), bereits ihren neunten Titelgewinn hintereinander an. Zu ihren schärfsten Konkurentinnen gehören erneut Silke Gladisch (SC Empor Rostock- links) und Ingrid Auerswald (SC Motor Jena- rechts).
