For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Stolpen, Kuh mit Kalb ADN-ZB Häßler 25.6.85 Bez. Dresden: Kälberaufzucht auf der Weide- Im Betriebsteil Großhartau des VEG Stolpen weiden die Rindermasttiere in den Sommermonaten ausschließlich auf Freiflächen. Die Kälber werden auf der Weide geboren und bleiben zusammen mit den Muttertieren bis zum Abtrieb im Oktober im Grünen. So werden die Jungtiere abgehärtet. Die Gewichtszunahme beträgt über 1.000 Gramm am Tag. - siehe auch 1985-0625-15N -
