For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
VEB Modedruck Gera, Jugendbrigade ADN-ZB Kasper 6.6.84 Gera: Festival-Was gibt's denn da an der Maschine nebenan? Silvana Spranger und ihre Kollegin Constanze Antonick (l.) von der Jugendbrigade "VI. Parteitag" lassen sich mal ablenken, aber sonst gehört ihre Aufmerksamkeit den Stoffbahnen, die in der Strangwäsche zusätzlich behandelt werden. Immerhin sind es rund 1 800 Meter Oberbekleidungs- und Dekorationsstoff, die pro Schicht an dieser Maschine im VEB Modedruck Gera bearbeitet werden. Maschinenführerin Silvana, die 22jährige Facharbeiterin für Textilveredlung, nimmt am Jugendfestival in Berlin teil.
