For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Dresden, Schloßgarten Pillnitz, Glashaus ADN-ZB Häßler 18.3.1983-me Dresden: Eine 200 Jahre alte Kamelie kann in diesem heizbaren Glashaus im Schloßgarten Pillnitz alljährlich zur Blütezeit von den Naturfreunden bewundert werden. Es ist die letzte von vier dieser mit dem Teestrauch verwandten immergrünen Pflanzen, die um 1770 aus Japan nach Europa gebracht wurden. Die Kamelie ist neun Meter hoch und acht Meter breit und gehört zu den botanischen Seltenheiten Europas. (siehe auch 1983-0311-300, 1983-0311-301)
