For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Eisenach, Lutherhaus ADN-ZB Ludwig-11.11.82 Bez. Erfurt: Luther- Das Luther-Haus in Eisenach (3. v.l.), eines der schönsten Bürgerhäuser oberhalb des Marktplatzes, beherbergt heute eine Gedenkstätte. Das ehemalige Cottasche Haus ist in seinem Kern spätgotisch und wurde Ende des 15. Jahrhunderts errichtet. Der Reformator Maritn Luther lebte dort von 1498 bis 1501 als Lateinschüler bei der Witwe Cotta. Zum 500. Geburtstag Luthers (10.11.1983) wird ein großer Zustrom von Besuchern aus dem In- und Ausland erwartet. (siehe 6,7,8N)
