For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
LPG Ottersleben, Mitglieder der LPG Zentralbild Biscan 2.10.1952 Die grösste Produktionsgenossenschaft der DDR. Zur bisher grössten Produktionsgenossenschaft der Deutschen Demokratischen Republik schlossen sich 58 Bauern mit insgesamt 420 ha Boden in Ottersleben bei Magdeburg zusammen. Die Mitglieder dieser Produktionsgenossenschaft, die den Namen "Neues Leben" erhielt, begannen als erste gemeinsame Arbeit mit dem Anbau von Wickroggen auf den 9 ha grossen Schlag der Bauern Otto Nitsche und Franz Starey. UBz: Die Witwe Mathilde Königstein wurde mit der vielen Arbeit auf ihren 4,93 Hektar Boden nicht mehr fertig und hatte immer Sorgen. Seit sie Mitglied der Produktionsgenossenschaft ist, stehen ihr Gruppenleiter Franz Starey (links im Bild), Neubauer Otto Bodendorf und alle anderen Mitglieder der Genossenschaft helfend und beratend zur Seite.
