For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Neuenhofe, Planung von Meliorationsarbeiten Zentralbild Biscan Zi-Mlk 12.8.1952 300 Hektar Sandboden werden fruchtbares Ackerland. Bei Neuenhofe, Sachsen-Anhalt, werden durch Berieselung mit den Abwässern der Stadt Haldensleben, die Stickstoff, Phosphorsäure und Kali enthalten und ein wertvolles Düngemittel darstellen, 300 ha unfruchtbaren Geländes in wertvolles Ackerland verwandelt. Der Investitionsplan sieht für die Verwirklichung dieses Projektes rund 1 Million Mark vor. In diesem Jahre werden u.a. bereits 2 km Betonrohre verlegt und einige Behälter aufgestellt. UBz: Kulturbaumeister Max Such (links), der Leiter des Kreisverbandes der 35 Wasser- und Bodenverbände, der die Durchführung des Bewässerungsprojektes leitet, im Gespräch mit Diplom-Ingenieur Helmut Hübner, der Leiter der wasserwirtschaftlichen Rahmenplanung von Sachsen-Anhalt.
