For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Industriearbeiter Modifikation an Maschine erklärend Illus Seidel 8.1.51 Arbeiter verbessern die Produktion. Der Maschinenarbeiter Heinig aus den Elite-Diamantwerken, Chemnitz, erzielte eine bedeutende Verbesserung in der Bedienung der Gwinderollmaschine. Bisher musste die Maschine mit der rechten Hand ein- und ausgedrückt werden. heinig entwickelte dafür einen einfachen Ausrückhebel, der mit dem rechten Unterarm bedient wird. Dadurch könne die zu rollenden Teile mit der Hand eingespant werden. Dieser Verbesserungsvorschlag bedeutet eine Einsparung von 1.390.-- DM pro Jahr. UBz: Maschinenarbeiter Heinig (mit Brille) zeigt dem Meister Dietrich seine Verbesserung an der Maschine.
