For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Villa Dahm muss Kongresszentrum weichen.

Bonn startet den Aufbruch mit Abbruch.
Trotz starker Proteste von Mitgliedern des Bundestages, Denkmalschützern und Bürgerinnen wurde die denkmalgeschützte Villa Dahm kürzlich abgerissen. Das für die Geschichte der Bundesrepublik Deutschland historisch bedeutungsvolle Gebäude war Sitz der Parlamentarischen Gesellschaft, wo die Bundestagsabgeordneten, Minister und Staatsgäste unbeobachtet ihre vertraulichen Gespräche führen konnten. Das Haus musste dem Bau des United Nations Congress Center (UNCC) weichen. Experten kritisieren, dass es mit etwas mehr politischem Druck möglich gewesen wäre, das wertvolle Gebäude in das Neubau-Konzept zu integrieren.
