| Description |
English: Buildwas Abbey - part of south side of nave and tower. Probably due to the plague, and frequent raids from over the nearby Welsh border, by the late 14th century there were only 4 monks here. By the early 1500's there were 12, but the numbers had dropped again to 7 at the abbey's dissolution in 1535. 1312704 |
