Summary[edit]

Description
English: During the phase of erection the construction site of the school's unique separate stage hall which was planned by the Berlin-based architect Bruno Ahrends (1878–1948) was used by costumed actors and musicians for a group picture. The school's main building Diesseits (The Here and Now) can be seen in the background on the right. Its left (western) annex is hidden behind the light-colored plank wall. This annex incorporated the school's dining room which since 1 May, 1925 also served for rehearsals and performances. The newly erected stage hall was opened at Pentecost 1931. Also behind the plank wall: the northern side of Westfalenhalle. Top row: 8th from left teacher Dr. Frederick Edward Konekamp (1897–1977), 12th from left Ruth Berger (* 1914), 15th from left with a light blouse, teacher Ellen Abel-Musgrave (1908–1988), below on the far right holding the horse: Ernst Heinz Joseph Halberstadt (1912 -1997), in the SaM called "Nepo", name changed after emigrating to the US: Ernest J. Halstead.
