Description
Deutsch: Die Bronzefigur "Der Sieger" von Wilhelm Wandschneider wurde im Jahre 1906 geschaffen. Sie steht in Berlin im Großen Tiergarten am südlichen Ende der Platanenallee in einem kleinen Tiergartenteich.

"Der Sieger" erhielt 1906 die Goldmedaille der Großen Berliner Kunstausstellung. Kaiser Wilhelm II. erwarb die Bronzefigur und schenkte sie der Stadt Berlin. Die Bronzefigur stand von 1907 bis 1942 im nordöstlichen Teil des Großen Tiergartens. Im Kriegsjahr 1942 wurde sie eingeschmolzen. Die "von-Hinckeldey-Stiftung" stiftete im Jahre 2001 einen Neuguss. Er wurde von der Gießerei Lauchhammer nach einem in Plau am See erhaltenen Exemplar vorgenommen.
