Description Etruscan bronze mirror with Caile Vipinas, Artile, Cacu and Avle Vipinas (British Museum, London)
Cacu (Latin Cacus) is seated, playing a lyre. Beside him is the boy Artile, reading from an open writing tablet (diptych). On either side, Caile and Aule Vipinas (Latin Caelius and Aulus Vibenna) advance, either to eavesdrop on Cacu or to capture him. Around the design is a vine wreath with bunches of grapes. On the extension is a winged boy. The handle is decorated with animal heads.
Diameter: 15 cm ; Height: 31 cm
