Bronze Age Barbed and Tanged Arrowhead
Description
English: An incomplete flint barbed and tanged arrowhead of Bronze Age date ( 2100 BC-800 BC). The arrowhead is mainly sub-triangular-shaped in plan. It has a relatively large tang with a straight edge at the base and the barbs are small. The sides are retouched along the edges and the tip is missing due to a transverse break. On one face, just below the break, there is an area of gloss. The surface is a pale orange colour with some off-white mottling in places. 32.5 x 22.7 x 4.0mm. Weight: 3.13g.
