Title
Bronze Age Barbed and Tanged Arrowhead
Description
English: A flint barbed and tanged arrowhead of early Bronze Age date. The arrowhead measures 26mm by 16.6mm by 4.2mm and weighs 1.4g. It has been made from a tertiary flake of mid greyish-brown flint and is probably complete despite the mild (probably accidental) asymmetry. The flake has been invasively retouched by pressure-flaking over much of both the dorsal and ventral surfaces. As the arrowhead weighs less than 8g and has a small length/breadth ratio, it falls into the Sutton type (Butler 1995, p. 164).
