Summary[edit]

Description
English: Broken, splintered and well weathered The receding waters of the tide have deposited a great number of small pebbles on this old wooden stump of a post, adorning its splintered top but soon to be swept away again. Only a handful of worn and broken posts remain of some of the groynes on this section of beach and most others are much damaged by wave action, no longer serving their intended purpose as sea defences. A narrow strip of sky can be seen above the much darker blue of the North Sea.
